YuppaU

The first comprehensive optimization program for higher education uses innovative algorithms to optimize scheduling options across your institution.  These algorithms can incorporate constraints and preferences to find the best schedules for your departments, instructors and students.

Generate an optimized department schedule tailored to meet the specific needs and wants of students, professors and Department Chairs

No longer spend hundreds of hours each semester manually struggling to coordinate all instructors, rooms, meeting times, courses, and sections in a way that accommodates the needs and wants of students, instructors, and the Department Chair.

Maximizing course choices for students and predicting, preparing and adjusting for student course demand

YuppaU includes a prerequisite tool that allows Department Schedulers to enter course prerequisite information, preventing overlap of complementary class schedules and maximizing course options for students.

Ability to identify and easily correct when conflicts arise

YuppaU will not override hard constraints to make the schedule “fit.” Instead, YuppaU includes a contraction tool will warn Department Schedulers of conflicting hard constraints, highlighting the conflict and the cause of it, so the contradiction can be resolved with ease.

Ability to modify an existing solution when last minute changes are necessary

YuppaU gives Department Schedulers the ability to modify an existing solution if student demand changes, and then ask the program if those modifications are allowed without violating any constraints. This will produce a new solution that is as close as possible to the previous solution.

Collect Instructor Preferences with a click of a button

YuppaU incorporates preferences of both Department Chairs and instructors, allowing instructors to directly enter their preferences into the system.  Department Chairs have the additional option to prioritize any instructor preferences they want.
